In today’s society we are bombarded with fear regarding our health. Check your blood pressure or you’ll stroke out! Get you Cholesterol under control or you’ll have a heart attack! No butter, it will clog your arteries, use vegetable oils instead of canola! No bacon either, you’ll arteries will harden up. One aspirin a day will decrease you risk of stroke by 35%, and so on. This stuff has been preached and beaten into us with ads and commercials, but how much of it is actually true?
Is high blood pressure a disease? No, it is simply an elevated blood pressure reading on some measuring device that can have many different causes. It can be as simple as “White Coat Syndrome” which is when your blood pressure is always elevated at doctors offices, but when checked at home is fine. Doctors offices would stress me out too! Another reason could be you don’t drink enough water, you didn’t get enough sleep, your're in pain, the room is too hot, or the doctor decided to ask you about your stressful day. Yes, talking can raise your blood pressure. Your blood pressure changes constantly through out the day. If you would check someone while they were weight lifting it could be 400/200 and the same person while resting could be 100/60. Your body changes your blood pressure as needed for optimum oxygen and nutrients to reach all parts of the body, most importantly the brain. Now more seriously your blood pressure could be raised due to artery damage. A smaller opening needs more pressure to get the same amount of oxygen to the brain. If artificially lowered with drugs; (Short term) Decreased circulation, oxygen deficit, fatigue. (Long term) Heart muscle degeneration, Heart enlargement, degeneration of any organ or tissue which is not getting the blood it keeps calling for, lung congestion, premature aging, and early death. If you are taking a drug, that slows the heart down, you will have less oxygen getting to the brain, which can cause dizziness or lightheadedness, fainting, blurred vision, nausea, fatigue, lack of concentration, confusion, (cold clammy pale skin), and eventual damage to the heart and brain.
Does High Blood Pressure causes stroke? Well lets look a little deeper. Why do blood clots and strokes only occur in Arteries and not smaller veins and capillaries. If blood clots are just fat floating around in the blood, than shouldn’t the smaller veins get blocked up first? Shh. Your not suppose to ask that. You see Arteries have 3 layers, one being a muscular layer in order to constrict or dilate to adjust the blood pressure, like putting your finger over the end of a hose. In this muscular layer are tiny blood vessels, and if they get damaged this causes a weakening in the wall of the artery. Our intelligent body will then make a layer of protection out of calcium, cholesterol, and plaque, to protect that weakened muscular area. Now say you have a damaged artery from toxicity and deficiency, and then take a BP reducing drug, the artery is going to constrict to increase blood pressure (because our brains have to have a certain amount of blood to survive), causing the opening near the area of damage to be even smaller. If you have low stomach acid and toxic blood from an unhealthy lifestyle this can cause your blood to clump and be less efficient at it’s job of carrying oxygen and nutrients in and waste away. So what does your body need to do in order to get the proper amount of oxygen and nutrients? It has to increase blood pressure.
So what does cause stroke. High Blood Pressure….drugs, Cholesterol….drugs, Proton pump inhibitors (Prevacid), Aspirin, along with toxic carbohydrates, processed foods, bad oils (canola, soy, etc..), and dehydration. In the Dart trial, increasing polyunsaturated fats doubled stroke mortality. That’s your cottonseed oil, corn oil, grape seed, peanut, and soybean oils. They are in so many things! This is the stuff that is damaging your arteries and doubling your risk of death from stroke.
According to a study done at University of Alabama, published in ScienceDaily, people who take 3 or more of these medications were 248% higher risk of stroke than those who had untreated high blood pressure. I mean your taking a drug that is going to cause constriction and you have crappy blood and crappy arteries, can you see the potential stroke on the horizon?
So is high blood pressure the leading cause of stroke? No, it’s the leading clue that your blood is toxic, you have artery damage, your dehydrated, and all these things combined could cause a stroke so get your act together. Fruits and vegetables clean your blood, fish oils make it slippery, water and garlic thin it. God gave us an intelligent body and provided us with the things we need to be healthy, use them.
What is Cholesterols function? Making up 70% of your brain and the majority of it being made by our liver, cholesterol plays a very important role in our bodies. Cholesterol is vital for hormone production, vital for tissue repair, and vital for inflammation. An excess amount of it has no symptoms, but an insufficient amount will result in low hormone production, difficulty in healing, Reduced libido, infertility, have a higher risk of cancer, hemorrhagic stroke, chronic inflammation (since your not able to produce the hormone Cortisol which combats inflammation) and respiratory and infectious disease. Low Cholesterol has also been researched to increase depression, suicide, anxiety, impulsivity, and aggression.
HDL good/LDL bad? HDL is a protein that takes excess cholesterol back to the liver to be stored for later use. LDL is a protein that delivers cholesterol to the arteries to repair damage. So neither should be labeled good or bad, they both have a very useful function that our body needs to repair tissue. So to say that LDL is bad for delivering cholesterol, is like saying fire trucks are bad for delivering firemen to a fire. Where there is artery damage you will find cholesterol attempting to fix it, just like where there is a fire there are firemen attempting to put it out. But there are too many fire trucks out on the road, it could cause traffic jams, or an accident. So what are the lab coats solutions, block the fire trucks from leaving the station and shoot the firemen. I say maybe we should look and see why there are so many fires to start with. Less fires, less firemen and trucks, similarly less artery damage, less LDL bringing cholesterol to the site of injury.
Do Statins prevent Heart Disease? This is the first drug to make 10 billion dollars a year! Causes: Muscle pain, weakness, and damage, liver damage, diabetes and increased blood sugars, neurological side effects (memory loss and confusion), dizziness, drowsiness, headaches, difficulty sleeping, abdominal cramping, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. And why are people taking this and ending up with these horrible side effects? To prevent their body from producing a product it needs to repair damaged arteries and tissues, as well as the base for all the hormones their body needs to remain sane. The care Trial also showed that breast cancer rates for those taking statins went up 1500%! Why? You need cholesterol to produce progesterone. Progesterone protects your cells from cancer. Decrease cholesterol, decrease progesterone production, increase cancer. Side note: Statins were given approval in 1987. Deaths attributed to heart failure more than doubled from 1989 to 1997. Coincidence?
Does Cholesterol cause Heart Disease? We have been told that too much cholesterol in your blood, builds up in the walls of your arteries causing a process called atherosclerosis, a form of heart disease. The arteries become narrowed and blood flow to the heart muscle is slowed down or blocked. The blood carries oxygen to the heart and if not enough gets there you may suffer chest pain. If the blood supply to a portion of the heart is completely blocked off, the result is a heart attack. From all my research in the main stream medical articles, none of them know what causes your body to make more cholesterol. All they talk about is how bad saturated fat is and how you should replace them with polyunsaturated fat. If diagnosed with the heart disease, American Heart Association advises to use: liquid vegetable oils such as canola, safflower, sunflower, soybean, and olive. Polyunsaturated oils provide a source of free radicals which can damage arterial walls which initiates the plague-building process. Vegetable oils constricts blood vessels and increases platelet stickiness, which raises blood pressure and causes further damage to arterial walls. Why are these put into so many processed foods? Because bacteria won’t eat that crap, and neither should you.
Saturated fats do not clog the arteries, Cholesterol is not a floating blockage either. If it were there would be blockages in the much smaller veins and capillaries. Cholesterol is a band-aid for the arteries, filling in the damage in the muscular wall. The problem occurs when the scars begin to layer shrinking the diameter of the artery. This combined with a diet of Polyunsaturated fats and low stomach acid (both of which cause the blood to clump) could definitely cause heart disease, attacks, and stroke, but is it the cholesterols fault? Why is the cholesterol there? To patch up the damaged, weakened arteries to save you from hemorrhaging. What causes the damage? Toxicity and deficiency. So essentially Heart disease, heart attack, and stroke can be avoided by simply making a lifestyle change. Not by demonizing cholesterol or healthy fats like butter, eggs, coconut oil, animal fats, and bacon. Eat the bacon, avoid processed instant foods made in a factory. Look at the ingredient lists of your foods. Cotton seed oil, soybean oil, canola oil, are a concoction that damage the arteries and make the blood sticky. This is what should be put out there as the real danger, not cholesterol.
